From Chicago to Rosemount, Termoneeny Style!

Termoneeny Runners continue to represent the Club far and wide!  Even though it was a quieter week than usual, there were still some fantastic achievements with club runners turning in PBs, course records and podiums again this week.

2018 Chicago Marathon

On Sunday 7th October more than 44,000 runners from over 100 countries across the world crossed the finish line of the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in Grant Park. We are delighted that Termoneeny Running Club were represented by our own Brian Young at what was the 41st Chicago Marathon.  Brian finished in a very impressive time of 4:30! Congratulations Brian and thank you for flying the flag for TRC in the USA!

Armagh 10 Mile Road Race & 4 Mile Fun Challenge

The beautiful and historic Navan Centre and Fort was the location for the start and finish of the Armagh 10 mile and 4 mile road races on a wonderfully sunny Sunday afternoon. Damien Hughes, Jarlath Hughes and Jacqueline McGonigle made the journey to Armagh to take part in what were almost perfect running conditions.  The course was quite challenging with some long undulating hills.  However, Jarleth, even though recovering from  injury, managed a very comfortable second place in the four mile race in 22:28. (unofficial). Jacqueline finished the four mile race in 44:16 (unofficial) and we await confirmation of Damien’s time in the 10 mile race.

Congratulations to all of our members who continue to represent the Club so well throughout the country and further afield.  If you are interested in joining Termoneeny RC please visit termoneenyrc.com or send us a message on facebook. You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome!
