26 Extreme Causeway Coast Marathon
Having established itself as one of the most scenic marathons in the world this event attracted participants from across the globe, including James McNally and Fergal Hughes from TRC who competed in two distances on this fantastic route. With the addition of the Ultra Marathon distance (60km) in 2010 there was also an event for everyone from the serious Ultra Runner to the 10k specialists on the day, including Marathon and Half Marathon options. The weather held out on Saturday morning for James who completed his 32nd marathon in 05:46:18, while Fergal Hughes finished the 39 mile Ultra Marathon Distance in 07:12:51. Having only completed his first marathon recently in Armagh, this was an impressive performance by Fergal in his first Ultra run. Congratulations to both runners!
