Three of our ladies made the journey to the beautiful surroundings of Kilbroney Forest Park in Rostrevor County down on Sunday 22nd July to take part in the 26 Extreme Newry & Mourne Women’s Mini Marathon (10K). Along a stunningly scenic route, which was mostly downhill with a couple of sharp hills towards the end into the forest park, and with temperatures and humidity levels rising, Kay McPeake still managed to beat her PB at this distance with a time of 1:03:43. Anne Marie Pickering finished in a super time of 50:49 and Jacqueline finished in 1:11:21. All runners were greeted at the finish line with a lovely chilled glass of prosecco by the event’s charity partner Pretty N Pink.
