Tommy Hughes wins the 2013 Termoneeny 10k

The irrepressible Tommy Hughes won the 2013 Termoneeny 10K in a time of 34:22. Tommy needs no introduction and at 53 he is still showing most competitors a clean pair of heels. The next competitor to cross the line was Michael Kerr of the Carmen Runners, in a time of 35:35; third was Ballymena Runner’s’ Michael Bennett in 36:27.

In the women’s open race, Anne Paul of City of Derry AC was first home in a time of 39:37, with Geraldine Quigley of Larne AC second in 41:47. Matt Wray of Ballymena & Antrim won the Male 40-50 in 35:53, whilst Karen O’Kane of Magherafelt Harriers won the Womens 40-50 in 43:41. In the 50+ categories, John Hughes of Termoneeny won the men’s in 38:31, and Fionnula Mc Court of Lagan Valley won the women’s in 44:34.
